This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how KVPAC products (including KVPAC IDE, KVPAC Operator Client, KVPAC Mini Program, etc., collectively “KVPAC”) collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.

Important: By using KVPAC, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please do not use KVPAC.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Account credentials, contact details provided during registration/login
  • Project Data: PLC projects, program code (POU, FBD, ST), variable definitions, and other engineering data you create
  • Feedback: Opinions and suggestions submitted via customer support or feedback channels

2.2 Device Information

  • Device Identifiers: Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers (e.g., Android ID / IDFA)
  • Network Information: IP address, network type (Wi-Fi / Cellular), signal strength
  • BLE Proximity Information: PLC controller information (device name, MAC, RSSI) scanned/connected when using proximity debugging features

2.3 Usage Information

  • Feature usage frequency, crash logs, performance data (used only for product improvement)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely in the following scenarios:

  1. Core Functionality: PLC programming, compilation, download, debugging, remote operation
  2. Account Management: Login verification, licensing management (Free Trial / Authorization codes)
  3. Product Improvement: Statistical analysis (anonymized), troubleshooting
  4. Legal Compliance: Meeting legal and regulatory requirements

4. Information Storage and Protection

  • Storage Location: Your programming data is stored on your local device by default; cloud-based features (e.g., remote operation, enterprise backend) store data on our servers
  • Transmission Security: TLS encryption for all communications; MQTT messages use QoS 1 + security credentials
  • Access Control: RBAC three-tier permission model; sensitive operations (download/write/delete) require dual confirmation + audit logs (180-day retention)
  • Data Retention: Offline cache retains last 1 day of alerts/logs and last 7 days of operation records by default; session tokens valid for ≤24 hours

5. Cross-Border Data Transfer

If you use our service nodes deployed outside your region (e.g., services provided through our overseas subsidiary BingShi/AutoEE), some of your data may be transmitted to servers in other jurisdictions. We only perform such transfers when necessary to provide services and take appropriate safeguards.

6. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With your explicit consent
  • As required by law (e.g., lawful requests from judicial or administrative authorities)
  • With service providers: Partners necessary for providing services (e.g., cloud providers, push notification providers), all bound by confidentiality agreements
